About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Category Manager or Category Buyer to lead and grow the health & beauty category for one of our Global Pharma Retail clients. This pivotal role involves strategic planning, execution, and performance management to achieve ambitious sales and margin targets. You will be instrumental in shaping our product offering, fostering strong supplier relationships, and driving category growth through insightful market analysis and data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the beauty/ethical/Over-The-Counter category to achieve sales and margin targets.
  • Plan and execute buying strategy, including product selection, pricing, and promotions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and principals.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, including pricing, margins, rebates, and promotional support.
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Manage product assortment, stock levels, and inventory planning to ensure optimal availability.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams for campaign planning and execution.
  • Monitor and improve category performance through data-driven decision making.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in category management, preferably within the pharma retail industry
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales and margin targets.
  • Strong understanding of buying strategies, product selection, pricing, and promotional planning.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable commercial terms.
  • Proficiency in sales performance analysis, market trend identification, and competitor analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Fluency in English
