Position: Business Analyst
Term: ASAP - June 2027 with renewal
Compensation: $38/Hr - $40/Hr
Location: On site Tallahassee, FL
Work Authorization: ONLY USC and GC no other Visas will be considered
Education: Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, Information Systems
Certifications are a plus: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Owner (CSO), CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMI-ACP, PMP, ITIL.
Experience:
- 3 years of business process analysis and requirements documentation, including independent facilitation with executives and subject matter experts.
- Proficiency in process mapping/modeling with tools such as Visio is required.
- Experience facilitating the intake of ideas or proposals and converting them into documented Demands within ServiceNow (or similar portfolio management tools).
- Experience using M365 including SharePoint and Microsoft Teams for collaboration and document management; exposure to Power BI is preferred.
- Experience preparing business case materials, including ROI/TCO analysis, cost-benefit assessments, and risk summaries.
- Knowledge of how business requirements translate into technical requirements is required.
Responsibilities:
1. Intake & Stakeholder Management
Engagement: Identify stakeholders and lead intake meetings with business offices.
Refinement: Define high-level objectives, scope, risks, and problem statements for submitted ideas.
Submission: Manage the demand lifecycle in ServiceNow; collaborate with the Demand Manager on state transitions.
2. Analysis & Process Design
Process Mapping: Document and diagram business/system inter-relationships and dependencies.
Gap Analysis: Identify process improvements, design "to-be" states, and plan transitions.
Feasibility: Analyze demand patterns and recurring trends against technical capabilities.
3. Strategic Evaluation & Prioritization
Scoring: Categorize and prioritize demands by urgency, complexity, impact, and alignment.
Business Case: Develop ROI/TCO estimates, cost-benefit narratives, and value-risk summaries.
Strategy Alignment: Translate high-level business goals into technical requirements for infrastructure and development.
4. Technical Solutioning & Trends
Innovation: Research emerging tech to drive "buy vs. build" decisions and process integration.
Solutioning: Recommend approaches that bridge current needs with future environments.
Security: Facilitate and support cybersecurity risk assessments.
5. Data Integrity & Tracking
ServiceNow Management: Size demands (T-shirt sizing) and identify impacted business units/apps.
