Title: Scrum Master – Banking / Financial Services
Location: Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Dallas
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with a strong Agile delivery background to support high-impact programs within a Banking client environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Scrum framework execution, stakeholder management, and navigating delivery within regulated financial systems.
This role will work closely with Product Owners, Engineering teams, and business stakeholders to drive consistent, high-quality Agile delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives).
- Coach teams on Scrum principles, Agile best practices, and continuous improvement.
- Remove impediments and proactively manage risks affecting sprint delivery.
- Work closely with Product Owners to ensure well-defined backlogs and clear acceptance criteria.
- Track and report sprint metrics (velocity, burn-down/up charts, release forecasts).
- Ensure alignment with enterprise banking governance, compliance, and risk controls.
- Drive cross-team coordination in scaled Agile environments (SAFe / Large programs).
- Promote transparency, accountability, and delivery predictability across teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in Agile delivery roles, with 3+ years as a dedicated Scrum Master.
- Strong background working with Banking / Financial Services clients (Retail Banking, Wealth, Payments, Risk, Compliance, etc.).
- Deep understanding of Scrum framework, Agile principles, and delivery metrics.
- Experience working in regulated environments with structured governance.
- Strong stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience with Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM / PSM / SAFe).
- Experience supporting data, digital transformation, or core banking modernization programs.
- Exposure to distributed/onshore-offshore delivery models.
