Technical Project Manager (TPM)
Location: Dallas/Tampa/Basking ridge
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale application modernization and development programs for Telecom. The role requires strong technical depth, agile delivery expertise, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams across frontend, backend, QA, and DevOps.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality goals
- Drive project planning, execution, and tracking, including milestones, deliverables, and dependencies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, QA, DevOps, Business) to ensure seamless delivery
- Build strong understanding of networking applications, including technical architecture and business drivers
- Manage stakeholder communication, including client interactions, status reporting, and escalation management
- Conduct weekly governance and stakeholder meetings and drive closure of action items
- Own project reporting (RAG status, burndown charts, KPIs, dashboards)
- Ensure adherence to Definition of Done (DoD) and quality standards
- Oversee resource planning, allocation, and utilization, including timesheet tracking
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across delivery processes and standards
- Lead Agile ceremonies and act as a Scrum Master when required
- Manage multiple projects/workstreams simultaneously with strong prioritization
- Ensure delivery aligns with Statement of Work (SOW) and client expectations
- Facilitate innovation discussions (Agile transformation, Design Thinking, Cloud adoption)
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Technical Project Management / Program Delivery
- Proven experience managing customer-facing, large-scale application development projects
- Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies (SAFe/Lean is a plus)
- Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Jira
- Strong expertise in stakeholder management and client communication
- Experience managing distributed teams and multiple concurrent projects
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of modern application architecture:
- Java / Node.js
- Spring Boot, Microservices
- RESTful APIs
- React or other frontend frameworks
- Experience with databases: SQL / NoSQL
- Exposure to cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP
- Familiarity with:
- Git, Maven, CI/CD pipelines
- Linux / Windows environments
- JEE containers (e.g., Tomcat)
- Understanding of object-oriented design principles and system architecture
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Telecom domain (Telecom or similar clients)
- Certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist
- Experience in Application Modernization / Digital Transformation programs
- Exposure to Cloud-native and SaaS-based application delivery
