Position: Sr System Administrator
Term: July 2026 - June 2027 with renewal opportunity
Compensation: Pay = $67-$70/Hr
Location: ON SITE Tallahassee, FL NO RELOCATION MUST BE IN TALLAHASSEE REGION CURRENTLY
Work Authorization: ONLY USC and GC no other visas will be considered
 
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or technical institute degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
 
Experience:
  • 6+ years of professional experience in information systems engineering or a related field is required.
  • 3-5 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/network environments and supporting middleware such as API Management, IT Service Automation tools, and batch job services is highly desired.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the following:
  • Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, and 2022.
  • IIS Administration
  • Network communications, including TCP/IP and DNS Samba/CIFS file sharing and NTFS permissions.
  • AWS cloud systems is required and Microsoft Azure and GCP cloud systems is highly desired.
  • Administration of Microsoft software
  • Linux is a plus
 
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate server configuration and administration with multiple parties
  • Make recommendations for future server and software upgrades.
  • Monitor systems and applications to ensure security, availability, and performance.
  • Establish systems by evaluating network performance issues, including availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; and establishing connections and firewalls.
  • Maintains network and systems performance by performing systems monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting systems and application problems; escalating problems to vendor.
  • Create and manage Azure DevOps projects, git repositories, and pipelines.
  • Oversee and configure Azure DevOps organizational settings.
  • Recommend and assist with the building and hosting of complex application solutions.
  • Understand, deploy, and manage AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or other cloud services.
