About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud NMS (Network Management System) Software Architect to design, develop, and lead the architecture of our cloud-based network management solutions. As the Cloud NMS Software Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our NMS platforms, ensuring they are robust, secure, and high-performing to meet the diverse needs of our enterprise clients. This role demands a deep understanding of cloud technologies, networking protocols, and scalable software design. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into innovative technical solutions and provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and design end-to-end cloud-based NMS solutions with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, QA, and operations to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Define system and software architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices for cloud NMS development.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and tools for NMS deployment.
  • Guide the integration of network management functions such as fault, configuration, accounting, performance, and security management into cloud ecosystems.
  • Lead the adoption of modern software development methodologies including microservices, containerisation, and DevOps practices.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., TMF, MEF, ETSI) and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and guide software engineers and developers in architectural decisions and implementation strategies.
  • Conduct regular architecture reviews and provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies in cloud computing, networking, and NMS domains, and drive innovation within the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software architecture and development, with at least 5 years in cloud-based NMS solutions.
  • Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), networking protocols (SNMP, NetConf, REST APIs), and NMS frameworks.
  • Hands on experience with Java, Python, ReactJS/NodeJS, Microservices, Kubernetes, Kafka, REST/gRPC APIs.
  • Experience with Frameworks/Platforms such as TM Forum Open APIs, ONAP, NetAct, Netcool or Similar OSS Products.
  • Proficiency in Databases: Relational and NoSQL systems (PostgreSQL, MongoDB etc).
  • Proven track record in designing and delivering large-scale, distributed systems.
  • Experience with microservices architecture, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience in mentoring technical teams.
