Role: QA Lead

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated QA Lead to join our dynamic team. As a QA Lead, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of quality assurance engineers, ensuring the quality and reliability of our data processing and analysis pipelines. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and executing test strategies, as well as identifying and resolving defects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data quality testing, particularly with AWS technologies, and a proven track record of leading successful QA teams. This is a full-time position based in either New York City or Fort Mill, SC, with a hybrid work model requiring 2-3 days in the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance and support.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for data processing and analysis pipelines.
  • Design and implement test automation frameworks using Selenium and other relevant tools.
  • Perform ETL testing to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Utilize test management tools such as qTest and pytest to manage test execution and track defects.
  • Collaborate with developers and data engineers to identify and resolve defects.
  • Monitor and analyze test results, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of QA standards and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on code quality.
  • Ensure compliance with data quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on data quality testing.
  • Proven experience as a Data Quality Testing Engineer with a focus on AWS technologies.
  • Experience with AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, and Snowflake for data processing and analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and related data testing technologies.
  • Familiarity with Selenium for test automation.
  • Solid understanding of test automation frameworks.
  • Knowledge of test management tools such as qTest and pytest.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
