Role Overview
The Technical Program Manager (TPM) will lead complex, multi‑team technology initiatives across trading, investment, and advisor‑facing platforms. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, engineering execution, and regulatory‑aligned delivery. The TPM will drive program governance, roadmap execution, cross‑functional alignment, and delivery excellence within a fast‑moving financial‑services environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Delivery
  • Program Governance — Establish program structure, milestones, RAID logs, and reporting for multi‑workstream initiatives.
  • Cross‑Functional Execution — Coordinate engineering, product, QA, architecture, operations, and compliance teams.
  • Technical Delivery Oversight — Ensure solution design, integration, and implementation align with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive end‑to‑end delivery of platform enhancements, trading workflows, data integrations, and advisor‑facing capabilities.
 
Stakeholder & Communication Management
  • Executive Reporting — Provide clear, data‑driven updates to senior leadership.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into business‑aligned communication.
  • Facilitate steering committees, sprint reviews, and cross‑team alignment sessions.
 
Domain‑Specific Responsibilities
  • Lead programs involving:
  • Trading platforms / OMS / EMS
  • Portfolio management systems
  • Wealth & advisory platforms
  • Market data integrations
  • Regulatory & compliance‑driven initiatives
  • Oversee vendor integrations, API modernization, cloud migration, and data‑platform enhancements.

Agile & SDLC Execution
  • Agile Program Management — Partner with Scrum teams to ensure backlog readiness, sprint execution, and release planning.
  • Ensure alignment across product, engineering, and architecture teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement across delivery processes.

Required Qualifications
  • 9–12+ years of combined experience as a Technical Program Manager, Program Manager, or Senior Project Manager Wealth Management, Asset Management, Capital Markets, or Institutional Trading.
  • Proven experience delivering large‑scale, multi‑team technology programs.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Trading workflows (equities, fixed income, mutual funds, alternatives)
  • Advisor and client lifecycle
  • Market data, order routing, and trade execution
  • Hands‑on experience with Agile/Scrum delivery.
  • Excellent communication, executive‑level reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and delivery plans.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with OMS/EMS platforms, portfolio tools, or investment‑platform modernization.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and modern integration patterns (APIs, microservices).
  • PMP, SAFe, CSM, or similar certifications.
  • Experience working with vendor platforms or third‑party financial‑technology ecosystems.
