AWS Data Engineer Lead

<h4>Job Summary</h4><div>We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer Lead to design, build, and lead scalable data platforms and pipelines in the cloud. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in AWS services, data engineering best practices, and the ability to lead technical teams while collaborating closely with business and analytics stakeholders.</div><div><br></div><h4>Key Responsibilities</h4><div>Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines on AWS</div><div>Architect end-to-end data solutions using AWS services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lambda, EMR, and Step Functions</div><div>Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, and SQL</div><div>Lead and mentor junior data engineers; conduct code reviews and enforce best practices</div><div>Collaborate with product, analytics, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions</div><div>Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards are met</div><div>Optimize performance, cost, and reliability of AWS data platforms</div><div>Support CI/CD, monitoring, and troubleshooting of data workflows</div><div>Drive adoption of modern data engineering tools and frameworks.</div><div><br></div><h4>Required Qualifications</h4><div>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field</div><div>10+ years of experience in data engineering, with 4+ years on AWS</div><div>Strong hands-on experience with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR, Athena)</div><div>Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL</div><div>Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or AWS Step Functions</div><div>Strong leadership and stakeholder communication skills.</div><div><br></div><h4>Preferred Qualifications</h4><div>Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis)</div><div>Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)</div><div>Exposure to Snowflake or Databricks on AWS</div><div>AWS certifications (AWS Data Analytics, Solutions Architect)</div><div>Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments</div><div><br></div>
