About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our team and support our operations in Medellín and Candelaria. This pivotal role serves as the primary HR representative on-site, ensuring the smooth execution of all human resources functions. You will be instrumental in fostering a positive work environment, upholding company policies, and ensuring strict adherence to Colombian labor regulations. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of HR best practices and a passion for employee well-being and organizational development. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multiple priorities, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and be committed to contributing to the success of our properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities, including screening applications, scheduling and conducting interviews, and managing the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and comprehensive HR documentation, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
  • Oversee and coordinate payroll inputs, meticulously managing attendance, leave requests, and benefits administration to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Actively support employee relations, including assisting with disciplinary processes, mediating conflicts, and championing employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training and learning initiatives to support employee development and career growth.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all Colombian labor laws and internal company policies, acting as a key resource for employees and management on these matters.
  • Prepare and deliver timely HR reports and updates to Property General Managers and the Chief People Officer, providing insights and recommendations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Labor Relations, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 2–4 years of progressive experience in Human Resources roles.
  • Experience within the hospitality or service industry is highly preferred, demonstrating an understanding of its unique HR demands.
  • In-depth knowledge of Colombian labor legislation and employment practices is essential.
  • Exceptional administrative, communication (both written and verbal), and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proven experience with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and payroll systems is a significant advantage.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a mandatory requirement for this role.
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in English is required for effective communication with the Chief People Officer and other corporate stakeholders.
