Overview

The Discovery Coordinator supports the strategic expansion of title plant coverage through acquisitions, conversions, and new plant development. This role conducts on‑site discovery activities to evaluate operational readiness, asset conditions, and local market practices, serving as a key liaison between field stakeholders and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct on‑site discovery activities to support title plant acquisition, conversion, and expansion initiatives
  • Engage with local stakeholders, county offices, abstractors, and subject‑matter experts to gather operational insights
  • Review, validate, and organize discovery documentation related to title plant operations, data sources, and coverage
  • Perform on‑site assessments of title plant assets, facilities, workflows, and data integrity
  • Capture and organize on‑site photographs and supporting materials for reporting purposes
  • Collect and document agreements, access permissions, and related records
  • Compile findings into clear summaries and provide timely updates to internal partners
  • Coordinate with Market Discovery, Asset Management, Legal, and Plant Operations teams to ensure accurate outcomes
  • Manage multiple concurrent discovery projects while meeting timelines and quality standards

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in title insurance, title plant operations, market discovery, or property data research
  • Experience conducting on‑site assessments or field‑based discovery activities
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to organize documentation, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed for on‑site discovery

Preferred Experience

  • Title plant acquisition, expansion, or conversion projects
  • Familiarity with large‑scale title plant systems and land record repositories
  • Experience working across multiple jurisdictions and regulatory environments
  • Background in title underwriting or curative title work
