Position: Systems Administrator
Term: 1 year contract with renewal
Pay: $65/Hr - $68/Hr
Location: Tallahassee, Florida
Work Authorization: USC or GC ONLY
Experience:
- 5 years of Windows server administration experience with 3 years administering Windows 2016 and newer.
- 3 years of Microsoft Azure and Cloud experience.
- 2 years of AWS experience.
- 5 years administering Active Directory, Domain Name System (DNS), and Group Policy in environments with over 1,000 users.
- 3 years of Linux server management experience.
- Demonstrated experience writing, testing, and executing PowerShell scripts.
- Experience working in virtual server and Cloud environments; and
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain processes that optimize Microsoft Azure resources;
- Analyze Azure resource performance to identify resource contention and recommend changes or upgrades as needed to ensure optimization;
- Perform Microsoft Azure Entra ID and Active Directory management activities.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain processes that optimize Amazon Web Services (AWS) and resources;
- Develop and maintain technical specifications, standards, procedures, and systems documentation;
- Administer and configure Azure and AWS infrastructure security as needed for OIT staff and users;
- Assist Azure and AWS application owners, administrators, and users with appropriate application access;
- Work with data center staff, OIT, and users to perform resource deployments, upgrades, and configuration changes;
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Windows server issues with minimal impact on users;
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Linux server issues with minimal impact on users;
- Write PowerShell scripts to be used to monitor server properties and perform Active Directory and Azure management activities.
- Research and recommend appropriate technical solutions to meet functional requirements;
- Provide recommendations for possible process improvements within the Department’s infrastructure team;
- Create schedules for the development and implementation of specific software systems; and
- Perform additional Systems Administrator tasks as required by the Department.
